MULTAN, Oct 13: The Lahore High Court Bar Association Multan chapter on Friday sought compensation for the families of five victims in the Fokker crash. The association filed claims in the court of civil judge Tariq Mehmood on behalf of the families of Muhammad Murtaza, Dr Abdul Rauf, Kanwal Iqbal Hashmi, Dr Humaira Ashraf and Dr Farheen Fatima.
The association pleaded that all the five victims were experts in their fields and loss of their lives had deprived their parents and children of their love, kindness and support. It submitted that their deaths were the result of criminal negligence on the part of PIA and Civil Aviation Authority.
The court has issued notices and summoned all defendants for Nov 6.
