KHAIRPUR, Oct 13: Former district nazim Nafisa Shah has said that the police department is involved in kidnapping of women and clashes between different groups.

She said that the Khairpur district had become a centre of clashes, kidnapping of women and robberies.

Talking to reporters at her residence, she said that situation in the district was dangerous but the authorities concerned were not taking notice.

She said that there had been no signs of normalcy in the district.

She said that the DPO and the DCO were busy in carrying out a campaign in support of people of ruling party.

She said that they were not following law and obeying the orders of influential landlords of the ruling party.

She said that during her tenure the law and order situation was under control but now the kidnapped people were recovered after payment of ransom.

It may be mentioned that two women of the Jogi community were kidnapped in Kalo village near Thari Mirwah.
