Gunmen kill shepherd

KHAIRPUR, Oct 11: Armed men attacked a shepherd, Mohammad Hassan Kalhoro, and killed him near Mangi Mari on Wednesday.

Later, relatives of the deceased took the body to Saghiyoon and staged a demonstration. They told newsmen that the armed men took away four buffaloes after killing Kalhoro.

No case was registered till the filing of the report.

WOMAN KILLED: Four armed men entered the house of one Ghulam Hussain Tunio in the Tunio village in Sobhodero taluka and killed his wife Zulekha on Wednesday.

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.

JSQM DEMO: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) activists staged a demonstration in Bozdar Wada on Wednesday against the administration of central jail, Khairpur.

They raised slogans against the jail administration.

Speaking on the occasion, JSQM leaders alleged that JSQM workers, Saleem Lund, Allah Dino, Qadeer Jamro and Ghulam Nabi Lund, and others have been lodged in the Bund ward and being tortured.

They said that relatives were not allowed by the jail administration for routine meeting with prisoners.
