ISLAMABAD, Oct 10: The government is taking all possible measures to resolve people’s problems and providing them basic necessities of life at their doorsteps, according to president of the ruling PML Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

He was talking to different delegations of party workers at the PML House here.

Chaudhry Shujaat said that the PML had been implementing a comprehensive plan for the country’s progress and prosperity.

PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain, Central Finance Secretary Imtiaz Ali Ranjah other party leaders also attended the meetings.

The PML president told a delegation of the Islamabad Daily Wage Lecturers that teachers were the country’s backbone, and the government would take every step to solve their problems.

Assuring the delegation about discussing their problems with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Chaudhry Shujaat said that their genuine grievances would be solved soon. The PML president directed Federal Minister for Manpower Ghulam Sarwar Khan to fix a quota for the quake-hit people in the manpower being sent to Korea.

The minister assured the PML president that his ministry had been taking measures in this regard and the quake affected people would be accommodated.

Wife of AJK President Raja Zulqernain, Mrs Fakhria Zulqernain also called on Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain along with other leaders of the party’s women’s wing, including Mrs Farrukh Khan, Nazli Shujaat, Farzana Malik, Amna Saleem, Riffat Sarwar and Mehmooda Kiani.—APP
