KARACHI, Oct 10: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal said on Tuesday that separate water pipelines would be given to Baldia, SITE and Orangi in order to ensure that every town could get its due share of water.

Addressing a joint meeting of nazims and KWSB officials at Baldia, he said that after resuming water supply from the K-III project there should be no complaints of water shortage in Orangi, Baldia and SITE towns. In the past, these areas used to get water from Hab Dam, he said adding that after the additional supply of 90mgd, they were linked to the K-III project.

He said if the complaints of water shortage persisted despite additional water supply, it would prove that there was trouble in distribution system in the respective areas. He ordered that a comprehensive survey should be carried out in Baldia Town in this regard so that all the bottlenecks could be removed.—PPI
