MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 8: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Attique has lauded the Pakistani nation for extending unprecedented support to the suffering Kashmiri people after last year’s earthquake.

Speaking at a big public gathering held here on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the earthquake, the premier hailed President Pervez Musharraf for his firm resolve and commitment for the cause of Kashmiris.

He said President Musharraf had emerged as a great leader on the international arena who represented the Kashmiri people at every forum properly.

He said I am thankful to the president for coming Azad Kashmir to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

He paid tribute to the army for carrying out relief and rehabilitation operation and extending support to the Kashmiri people in the difficult hour.

He said life in the quake-hit areas has been revived, which showed the resolve and resilience of the Kashmiri people towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation process.—APP
