Pakistan face Jordan in next clash

LAHORE, Sept 28: Pakistan which have so far lost four out of five matches in the Asia Cup football qualifiers, will now meet Jordan in the next outing to be played at the Punjab Stadium on Oct 11.

At home, Jordan had defeated Pakistan 3-0 on Feb 22.

Overall, it will be the eighth clash between the two countries. Pakistan have lost all seven previous matches.

Twenty-four teams, including holders Japan, are participating in qualifiers, which will end on Nov 15.

In the qualifiers, Pakistan also lost to Bangladesh 1-0 at Karachi while drawing the away home tie against the same country 0-0.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) also beat Pakistan 4-1 in Karachi. Oman thrashed Pakistan 5-0 in Oman.

Defeats in four matches and a draw has relegated Pakistan to 160 in the world ranking from 152.
