KHAR, Sept 28: Political tehsildar Yar Mohammad Wazir escaped unhurt in a roadside bomb blast which damaged his vehicle in the Tangi Shah area of Bajaur Agency on Thursday, officials said.

The officials said that the official with his guards was going from Khar to the Charmung area to resolve a dispute between two tribal elders when the vehicle hit a remote-controlled device. No one was injured.

No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Another vehicle hit an explosive device in Bajaur Agency last week, wounding two health workers of the National Commission for Human Development and a passerby.

One of the workers, a woman, later died in a Peshawar hospital.
