COLOMBO, Sept 28: Three Sri Lankan non-LTTE affiliated Tamil politicians have called upon India to play an active role in resolving the island’s ethnic conflict, reports from Delhi said.

Political opponent of the LTTE, Tamil United Liberation Front leader V. Anandasangree, leader of the People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam, T. Sidharthan, and Sreetharan of the Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front met Indian leaders in Delhi on Tuesday, following an invitation by India.

Speaking at a conference in Delhi, Mr Sidharthan said Sri Lankan Tamils wanted India to once again involve itself in the quest for peace.
