HYDERABAD, Sept 22: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Friday handed over three hydraulic trucks to nazims of Hyderabad, Qasimabad and Latifabad talukas.

Speaking at a ceremony, he said that garbage-lifting capacity with supply of hydraulic trucks would be increased by 100 per cent.

Taluka nazims, DCO Mohammad Hussain Syed, district naib nazim Zafar Rajput, officials of the district government and elected representatives were present on the occasion.

He said that provision of hydraulic trucks to three urban talukas was only the first step.

He said that 41 UCs would be provided one truck each at a total cost of Rs81.426 million.

He said that trucks for UCs would be received by November this year. He said that all four talukas would also be provided fire engines.

He said that it would be for the first time that a fire brigade service would also be introduced in the rural taluka.

He directed officials concerned to complete cleanliness of the city and repairs of roads before the advent of Ramazan.
