Olympic torch

LAHORE, Sept 14: The Olympic torch of the second inter-provincial games was brought from Minar-i-Pakistan to the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday evening. The torch was handed over by Punjab Sports Department secretary Naveed Akram Cheema to former Asian gold medalist bodybuilder Mushtaq Ahmad at Minar-i-Pakistan at a colourful ceremony.

The torch was brought to the National Hockey Stadium via Azadi Chowk, The Mall, Lahore Canal, Gulberg’s Main Boulevard and Liberty Chowk.

One each celebrated athlete from all the 25 games included in the three-day inter-provincial games took part in the torch-bearing rally.— Sports Correspondent
