DERA GHAZI KHAN, Sept 13: All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) on Wednesday took out a protest rally against the adjustment of employees of the defunct Dera development authority in revenue department.

The protesters were chanting slogans, demanding transfers of the DO (revenue) and district coordination officer Pervez Khusrao.

The rally started from the office of DO (revenue) and ended at the district nazim office.

Reports said clerks had been protesting for a week against the adjustment of officials of the defunct development authority in revenue department.

Under the devolution plan, they were to be adjusted in tehsil municipal administration.

Apca DG Khan divisional president Nazar Mohammed Korai told this correspondent that as many as 21 employees of the defunct development authority were to be adjusted in TMA, but the authorities concerned had sent them to revenue department which had affected their seniority.
