PESHAWAR: Posting of officers discussed

PESHAWAR, Sept 13: A meeting of the standing committee on the services and general administration department on Wednesday reviewed the issue of posting of junior government officers on senior posts in the province.

The committee reviewed the issue of posting of grade-17 officers on grade-18 posts, grade-18 officers on grade-19 posts and grade 19 officers on grade 20 posts.

It directed the authorities of the department to present a detailed report on posting/transfer/promotion policy, adjustment of surplus staff and lists of those working as officers on special duty and deputed officers before the committee in 15 days.

S&GA Secretary Mian Sahib Jan assured the committee that they were working within legal framework and would continue to do so.

The meeting was presided over by MPA Anwar Kamal Khan. It was attended by MPAs Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Sikandar Hayat Khan, Tajul Ameen, Maulvi Abdul Razzaq and Rehana Ismail, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Saleem Khan, Deputy Secretary Provincial Assembly Ghulam Sarwar and the representatives of Advocate-General NWFP Zahid Karim. —-APP
