Lahore Ravi, Islamabad in thrilling tie

LAHORE, Sept 12: Lahore Ravi held Islamabad to a thrilling tie in the PCB Inter-region U-19 One-day cricket tournament. Chasing a winning target of 252 in 50 overs, Islamabad managed to score 251 also for the loss of nine wickets, before the allotted overs were completed at the LCCA ground on Tuesday.

Off-spinner Naeem-ul-Haq played a key role in restricting Islamabad with a haul of four wickets for 46. Zeeshan Mushtaq remained top scorer for the visitors with a knock of 60.

Opener Junaid Malik hit 90 to help Lahore Ravi piled up 251-9 in the stipulated overs.

Fine unbeaten half-centuries by opener Ali Abbas Zaidi and Yasir Ali enabled Lahore Shalimar crush Hyderabad by eight wickets at Sheikhupura Stadium.
