KHAIRPUR, Sept 9: An all-party conference here on Saturday criticised the inefficiency of Nadra in preparing computerised NICs. The APC was organized by the district NGOs coordination council to discuss defective enrolment of voters in the Khairpur district.

District office-bearers of political parties and social leaders attended the conference.

Niaz Khaskheli of the NGOs coordination council said that 75 per cent people of the district had not been enrolled in voter lists.

PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Shah and Ghazala Siyal said that very appointment of the chief election commissioner was illegal.

PML-F leader Chaudhry Sajid said that CNIC should not be a mandatory condition for enrolment in voter lists.

He said that people had become tired of casting their votes again and again and they did not take interest in enrolment.

PML-N (ladies wing) leader Zeenat Shaikh said Nadra had created problems for people as they were unable to enrol their names in voter lists.
