MUZAFFARABAD, Sept 5: AJK President Raja Zulqarnain Khan has underlined the need for collective efforts for the completion of reconstruction work to ensure proper rehabilitation of quake victims.

He was addressing his first press conference after taken over as president of the state at the Aiwan-i- Sadar here on Tuesday.

The AJK president expressed his firm resolve to work for the cause of the affected people together with Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan under the framework of AJK constitution and law.

Mr Khan said: “This is the time for us to change our behaviours and bring about a positive change in our characters to put our shares in the nation building and development of the area.”

He lauded the work of the Turkish engineers for building schools and blocks of AJK University.

Responding to a question he said: “There is complete harmony and understanding between the two offices of president and prime minister in AJK since both belong to the same party saying we have to follow the book, i.e. the constitution and build strong working relationship for the cause of the people, development and prosperity of the area.”—APP
