Usman hits century as PNA win again

SIALKOT, Aug 31: A fine century by Usman Saeed enabled Pakistan National Academy beat their Bangladeshi counterparts by 52 runs and take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the four-match series at Jinnah Stadium on Thursday.

Put into bat, Pakistan National Academy made 281 for six in their 50 overs. Usman led the way with 129 in an 147-ball knock that contained seven fours and three sixes.

Khurram Manzoor also batted well to hit 89 off 108 deliveries with 12 boundaries.

For the visitors, all-rounder Shafaq Al Zabir took two for 48.Bangladesh National Academy responded with 229 in 45.1 overs. Zaheerul Islam (63 off 78 balls, six fours) and Nadif Chowdhary (64 off 66 balls, three fours and two sixes) were the chief run-getters.

Off-spinner Tahir Khan excelled for the home side with figures of four for 39.

Pakistan National Academy also emerged winners in the first game on Wednesday by seven wickets.
