NAWABSHAH, Aug 27: Two more persons died of gastroenteritis in Nawabshah on Sunday. Ms Sharifan, 40, and a child died in the People’s Medical College Hospital. Name of the minor could not be ascertained.

Dozens of others, including Mehtab, Farhana, Mohammad Hassan, Abbas, Siraj, Shahana and Seema were admitted to the hospital during the last 12 hours.

The health department and taluka municipal administration Nawabshah have failed to control the virus or provide any relief to the people suffering from the ailment.

KILLED: A man was killed while crossing railway line here on Sunday. The victim identified as Hamid Malik, 45, was hit by a train near Nawabshah railway station.

SNATCHED: Three armed men snatched a motorcycle from Adil Arain near the Doctor’s Colony of Nawabshah and fled.
