KARACHI, Aug 21: The Karachi Cantonment Board, referring to a statement of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, appearing in Dawn’s Aug 20 issue, regarding draining of the rainwater from the board areas, said on Monday that the board’s staff had already drained out rainwater from all its areas.

However, it said, the city government had drained out the rainwater and sewage that had accumulated in the vicinity of Jinnah Hospital owing to the malfunctioning of the KWSB’s sewer. The city government had fulfilled its responsibility by repairing the sewer, the KCB added.
