Punjab lead in amateur golf

LAHORE, Aug 17: The Punjab golf team was leading with two-day score of 451, in the World Amateur golf championship at Puait Tinggi Golf and Country Club, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to a message received here on Thursday.

Punjab team comprises Waqas Ahmed, Mohammad Safdar, Mohammad Rehman and Shahid Khan.

Waqas 74 and 75, Safdar 75 and 71 and Rehman 80 and 76 scored for Punjab.

A total of 22 teams are taking part in this championship, including 18 foreign sides and four from the host country.
