GUJRANWALA, Aug 16: Seven highwaymen on Wednesday looted passengers of a bus at Sadhoki on GT Road while the police arrested its driver and conductor.

Reports said seven outlaws boarded the bus in the guise of passengers at Sadhoki and asked the driver to divert it to some deserted place. The dacoits held the passengers hostage and made off with cash, gold jewellery, wrist watches, mobile phones and other valuables.

Later, the passengers forced the driver to take the vehicle to Kamoki Saddar police station. The police took driver Zahir Ahmad and conductor Ishtiaq Ahmad into custody and registered a case against them for allegedly helping the outlaws.

EXPLOSION: As many as three workers of a factory suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in Kamoki on Wednesday.

Reports said Babar Husain (18), Ali Raza (16) and Muhammad Khalid (30) were working in the factory when a gas cylinder exploded. They were rushed to the local DHQ hospital.
