ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has aid that the prime objective of the Supreme Court is to dispense speedy justice to deserving people.

Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the Supreme Court Bar Association in honour of foreign delegates to the International Judicial Conference in Bhurbhan on Sunday, he said the court had always been upholding the rule of law and following the teachings of the Quaid-i-Azam of unity, faith and discipline.

He said the conference would strengthen the judiciary.

SCBA president Qayyum Malik said there existed cordial relations between the bar and the bench.

He said the Supreme Court had always administered justice and it would adhere to the values of justice in future as well.—APP
