LAHORE, Aug 12: Pakistan has been invited to participate in an international seminar on mathematics to be held at Madrid, Spain, from Aug 14 to 21.

Responding to the invitation, the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS) of the Government College University, is sending a team of seven PhD scholars on Sunday (today) to attend the seminar on “New Trends in Singularity Theory,” sponsored by the world famous research institute, Centre International de Mathematiques Pures et Appliquees (CIMPA).

SMS Director General Dr A.D.R.Chaudhry said it was an honour for Pakistan as well as the school of mathematical sciences that Spanish-French organizing committee of the CIMPA has awarded a full ride to the seven scholars from Pakistan against two PhD scholars from India. — Reporter
