LAHORE, Aug 10: Wushu players, who will be taking part in the South Asian Games, have been barred from using mobile phones and cameras during the competition to maintain discipline.

“We have decided that players will not be allowed to use mobile phones or cameras during the competition.

“It has been done as it can divert their attention,” said Malik Iftikhar Ahmad, secretary of Pakistan Wushu Federation on Thursday.

PWF official said players had also been directed not to take any medicine without consulting the official doctor of the Pakistani contingent to avoid being tested positive in case of dope test.

“They will be provided a list of medicines which are recommended by the doctor for use in case of sickness.”—APP
