ISLAMABAD, Aug 6: The Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) has decided to convene meeting of the joint opposition next week for formulating a strategy in line with ‘no-confidence move’ against Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, ARD president Makhdoom Amin Fahim and PPP secretary-general Raja Pervez Ashraf met with PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul Haq at his residence. PML-N secretary-general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra was also present.

The statement said that date of the meeting would be announced after contacting leaders of other opposition parties.

Mr Fahim and Mr Ashraf also extended their congratulations to PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Raja Zafarul Haq and Iqbal Zafar Jhagra for their re-election in the party’s polls.—PPI
