PTCL clarifies

Published August 4, 2006

LAHORE, Aug 3: Reacting to a Dawn report on dead phones, a PTCL (LRT-South) spokesman says that only 7,000 complaints have been received during this monsoon.

The PTCL 18 (computerised fault management system) is working round the clock and as soon as a complaint is registered it is immediately conveyed to the staff concerned for its early rectification.

“Complaints received at customer care centers are pursued till the rectification of the fault. The PTCL network is being damaged by some civic agencies in different areas like Ferozepur Road, Batapur and Shahdara during development works.”
