SHIKARPUR, Aug 3: Two passengers of a coach were killed and four others injured when the coach collided with a truck near Khanpur on the Kandhkot road on Thursday.
The truck loaded with stones collided with the Karachi-bound coach, coming from Peshawar.
Talib Jan, son of Nasir Khan, and Zarif Khan, son of Moran Khan, of Peshawar were killed in the accident. Namdar Ali, Waseem Ahmad, Gul Jan and Nek Bakht were injured and admitted to a hospital in Khanpur.
The Khanpur police registered a case and impounded the truck. However, the truck driver escaped.
LOOTED: Ten bandits intercepted a Karachi-bound coach coming from Mardan near Sindh Wah and looted cash, jewellery, wristwatches and other valuables from passengers on Thursday morning.
After the incident, the passengers blocked the road and held a demonstration, demanding recovery of their looted belongings.
