Pasrur villages to be made model

SIALKOT, Aug 2: Punjab Labour & Human Resources Minister Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi has announced that 100 villages of Pasrur tehsil will soon be made model as necessary paper work has already been completed.

Talking to reporters at Pasrur on Wednesday, the minister said the Punjab government would also establish a small industrial estate at Pasrur for providing a strong industrial base in the region.

He said the industrial estate would also be linked with the proposed Sialkot-Lahore Motorway.

The provincial minister said that Rs5 billion would be spent on these projects.

DELEGATES: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will send trade delegations to India, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Dubai, China and various European countries under the NTC programme to explore and capture new export markets.

This was revealed by SCCI president Dr Nouman Idrees Butt while talking to reporters here on Wednesday.

He said the SCCI would also organise workshops and seminars for creating awareness among the local exporters about the WTO, FTAs and ECO in active collaboration with National Trade Karwaan.

The SCCI president also announced that proper places would be located abroad for warehouses and holding exhibitions.
