QUETTA: Quetta Division Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari ordered authorities to expedite the registration of 96 unregistered religious seminaries and improve public education and health services across the division.

Mr Lashari issued the directives while chairing a Divisional Monitoring Committee meeting attended by deputy commissioners and representatives of law enforcement and federal agencies.

He instructed the Special Branch to provide updated geographic details for the seminaries and directed the Balochistan Charity Registration Authority to expedite their registration. Reviewing counterterrorism measures, the meeting examined suspect profiling and intelligence coordination. Officials said records of 120 people listed under the Fourth Schedule had been uploaded to the BISA tracking dashboard.
