QUETTA: Participants in a conference have stressed the need for coordinated action to eliminate illegal activities in Balochistan and strengthen law enforcement across the province.

Held under the chairmanship of the Balochistan chief minister, the 29th meeting of the Hardening of the State Conference reaffirmed the commitment to a peaceful, secure, and prosperous future for the province.

Representatives from federal and provincial institutions, relevant government departments, and security forces attended the meeting to review the overall security situation and ongoing development projects.

The participants emphasised intensifying efforts to curb smuggling, drug trafficking, poppy cultivation, and other illegal activities. They also expressed satisfaction with the progress in converting B-areas into A-areas, reaffirming their commitment to making the process more effective across all divisions of Balochistan.
