KARACHI, Aug 1: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has cancelled the races which were to take place at the Karachi Racecourse on Wednesday due to persistent rains in the city, deputy secretary KRC, Syed Ali Akbar Shah Rashdi announced on Tuesday.

Earlier, only two of the seven races could be held on July

30 following interruption by rains which eventually forced the KRC to postpone the remaining programme for Wednesday.

Ali Akbar said that weather permitting, the races are now planned for Aug 6 (Sunday) with re-handicaps.
