RAHIM YAR KHAN, Aug 1: A protest rally was held here on Tuesday against the Basti Chatta desecration incident. Reports said one Sakeena Bibi died almost two weeks ago and was buried. About three people exhumed the woman’s body and allegedly raped it.

The rally started from railway chowk and ended at DPO office.

It was attended by her father, leaders and workers of Jag Welfare Movement, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Aurat Foundation, Pakistan Youth League, Woman Welfare Council, Action Aid Pakistan and residents of Basti Chatta.

The protesters raised slogans against the DCO, DPO, and the district nazim and demanded arrest of the accused.
