FAISALABAD: A blistering half-century from Ayesha Zafar guided Incredibles to their first victory in the PCB Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament as they defeated Warriors by 39 runs at the Iqbal Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing a challenging target of 168, Warriors managed 128-8 in their allotted 20 overs, handing Incredibles a much-needed consolation victory after three successive defeats.

Ayesha was the standout performer with the bat, smashing 50 off just 25 deliveries, including five fours and three sixes, to lay the foundation for Incredibles’ competitive total of 167-6.

Captain Gull Feroza provided valuable support, scoring 46 off 50 balls with the help of four boundaries to consolidate the innings.

For Warriors, who had already secured their place in the final, Humna Bilal was the leading wicket-taker with two scalps for 46 runs.

In reply, Warriors struggled to keep pace with the required run rate despite contributions from Sadaf Shamas and Eyman Fatima.

Sadaf top-scored with 38, while Eyman added 36, but the pair could not steer their side towards the target as Warriors finished at 128-8.

Pakistan internationals Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar led Incredibles’ bowling effort, claiming two wickets apiece to restrict the opposition and seal a 39-run win.

Warriors will now turn their attention to their final league fixture against Champions, scheduled for Thursday at the same venue.
