KHUZDAR/ DERA MURAD JAMALI: Three police personnel were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on the convoy of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Khuzdar Range Imran Qureshi and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khuzdar in Karkh tehsil. Both senior police officers remained unharmed.

The DIG and SSP Khuzdar had visited the site of an explosion at Karkh Police Station the previous day to inspect the scene, accompanied by a large contingent of police personnel. As the convoy was returning, armed men, lying in ambush, opened fire on it, injuring three police personnel. The attackers fled after police personnel returned fire.

Firing inside girls’ college

Separately, three female students were injured when armed men opened fire inside a girls’ degree college in Noshki.

According to Noshki police, armed men opened fire at the girls’ college, injuring three students.

The injured students were shifted to Mir Gul Khan Nasir Teaching Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
