ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday condemned missile attacks launched allegedly by Houthi-led Ansarallah Forces targeting Saudi Arabia’s Makkah and Madina regions, terming them a “grave violation” of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the Foreign Office (FO), these “reprehensible attacks constitute a grave violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and demonstrate a blatant disregard for the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites and the safety of civilians”.

Pakistan reiterated its “unwavering solidarity” with Saudi Arabia and its firm commitment to the Makkah Alliance, the FO said.

It reaffirmed its steadfast support for the kingdom’s security, stability and defence, including the protection of the Two Holy Mosques against any external aggression or threat.
