CHINIOT: The Bhowana police claimed to have solved the murder case of a 12-year-old boy, whose body was recovered from a nullah after he went missing, and arrested an employee of the victim’s father.

According to the police, Muhammad Ali (12), son of meat shop owner Shahid Abbas, went missing on Oct 15 when he was taking cash back home from his father’s shop. The family searched for him but could not locate him and finally lodged a complaint with the Bhowana police.

Police started investigations and after a couple of days, found the body of the child from a nullah on Pansera Road. The police inserted the murder clause in the existing FIR and took Waseem Akram, an employee of Shahid Abbas, into custody on suspicion.

Police claimed that Waseem confessed to the crime and said that he looted cash and murdered the child over fear of being caught.
