Batman sequel takes a new direction

Robert Pattinson says The Batman: Part II will be very different from the 2022 film, calling it “a real left turn from the first”.
Pattinson, who returns as Bruce Wayne, described the sequel as “so ambitious” while retaining some of the original film’s feel. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film is currently being shot.
Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have joined the cast, alongside returning actors Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis. The Batman: Part II is set to release on October 1, 2027.
Marvel’s horror comics get reprints

Marvel’s upcoming Midnight Line has reached a major milestone as its first issues hit stores.
Midnight Spider-Man #1, Midnight Fantastic Four #1 and Midnight X-Men #1 received more than one million combined pre-orders, prompting Marvel to announce second printings for all three.
The three comics belong to Marvel’s new horror-focused line, featuring darker versions of familiar heroes. Midnight Spider-Man sees Peter Parker transformed into a half-human, half-spider creature, while Midnight Fantastic Four draws on supernatural horror. Midnight X-Men centres on a war between mutants and vampire-like creatures.
The first issues were released on October 7, 2026.
Hallow’s Eve hits the screen

Spider-Man villain Hallow’s Eve will make her on-screen debut in Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! on Disney Jr.
Hallow’s Eve, who uses magical Halloween masks to transform herself, will be voiced by Este Haim of the band HAIM. Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump will voice Jack O’Lantern.
In the special, Hallow’s Eve uses magic to trick trick-or-treaters and ruin Halloween, bringing her into conflict with Spider-Man and the Avengers.
The character first appeared in Marvel comics in 1995 as Janine Godbe, who is connected to Spider-Man’s clone, Ben Reilly.
