KARACHI, July 30: Brothers Aqeel Khan and Jalil Khan shared the men’s singles trophy of Arif Habib Tennis Championship following abrupt rain in the city on Sunday.

The two were qualified to meet each other in the final at Karachi Club but rain made the court slippery and compelled organisers to cancel the programme.

As Aqeel and Jalil are due to fly to Delhi on Wednesday to compete in ITF circuit, the organising committee awarded the trophy to be shared by them.

In addition, the prize money was also shared with both of them getting Rs47,500 apiece.

According to break-up, the winner was to get Rs65,000 and runners up Rs30,000 out of total prize money of Rs350,000.
