DADU: The 180-year-old Christ Church — also known as the ‘Kotri Railway Line Church’ — was inaugurated jointly by Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Naveed Anthony and Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah on Monday after completion of its restoration and renovation works.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by MPA Hina Dastagir, MPA Dr Sikandar Shoro, Hyderabad Commissioner Fayyaz Abbasi, Jamshoro Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Ali Qadri and officials of the departments concerned.

Addressing the ceremony, Naveed Anthony expressed his pleasure over completion of the restoration and renovation works, pointing out that the condition of the church building had been deteriorating due to its age and it had become necessary to preserve this heritage site of historical and cultural significance.
