The Iranian navy claims that US forces attacked the Konarak naval base with “two light projectiles” early this morning, Al Jazeera reports.

Two Iranian soldiers were reportedly wounded in the strikes on the facility, located in a military complex in the country’s Sistan-Baluchistan province on the southeastern coast.

“The target of the American forces in the attack on the Iranian navy this morning was a 35mm cannon,” the navy claims.
