Riyadh is unlikely to request Egyptian military support in the immediate future, even if Egypt’s parliament approves an intervention, Al Jazeera reports, citing Middle East security expert Talha Abdulrazaq.
According to the report, the security analyst said the Makkah defence pact countries, Pakistan and Turkiye, are likely to be Saudi Arabia’s first port of call to defend the kingdom’s territory.
