LAHORE: The Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department and the Bank of Punjab (BoP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to introduce the CM Punjab Sports Card, an initiative aimed at supporting talented athletes across the province through annual scholarships.

Punjab Sports Secretary Fazalur Rehman was the chief guest at the MoU signing ceremony held at the Punjab Stadium on Friday. Punjab Sports Director General Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and BoP Chief Digital Officer Nofal Dawood signed the agreement and exchanged documents.

In the first phase, 300 athletes, who are already getting their monthly scholarship through cheques, will get a Sports Card to directly draw their monthly scholarship instead of visiting the offices of the sports department.
