KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department claimed to have arrested three suspected terrorists belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in separate raids in the metropolis.

According to a CTD spokesperson, two hand grenades and an improvised explosive device (IED) were recovered from their custody.

He said that the CTD, along with an intelligence agency, carried out a raid near Lasbela Chowk and arrested two suspected BLA terrorists. They were identified as Sajid Yusuf and Shaukat Ali alias Shoki.

The held suspects were in constant touch with their handlers and were planning to carry out bomb attacks on sensitive installations and law enforcement agencies, the spokesperson added.

In the second action, the CTD conducted a raid near the Old Subzi Mandi area and arrested suspected TTP terrorist Dad Mohammed alias Adil.

Meanwhile, a man was found shot dead in Bilal Colony on Monday.
