KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has asked the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) to provide records of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023 by Oct 20, it emerged on Monday.

NAB, through a call-up notice to the secretary of SPSC Hyderabad, has stated that the notice has been taken under section 19 of the Accountability Ordinance 1999 pertaining to an “inquiry against officers/officials of the SPSC and others regarding CCE 2023”.

It said that the NAB chairman has received “credible information based on a complaint about corruption and corrupt practices” regarding CCE 2023.

“In light of the allegations, prima facie it has been observed that your office [SPSC secretary] is in custody of important information / record relevant to the case that can be helpful for a just decision of the inquiry,” the NAB notice said.

It has asked the SPSC to direct the official concerned to appear before NAB to join the inquiry on Oct 20 along with the relevant record.
