The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued an advisory urging British nationals to stay away from King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital.

“Following a serious incident at King Khalid International Airport on October 10, 2026, at approximately 1500 (local time), we advise British nationals to avoid King Khalid International Airport until the airport is secure and to monitor the advice of the Saudi authorities,” the advisory reads.

It advises against all but essential travel to the kingdom’s Aseer province, Riyadh province, Najran province, Jizan province and Taif city and Taif International Airport, further advising against all travel within 10 kilometres of the border with Yemen.
