We Bare Bears’ Christmas return

Seven years after the original We Bare Bears series ended, Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear are returning in a new Christmas comic special.

We Bare Bears aired on Cartoon Network from 2015 to 2019, followed by We Bare Bears: The Movie in 2020 and the prequel series We Baby Bears in 2022.

The new We Bare Bears Christmas Special #1 will feature three brand-new stories about the bears celebrating Christmas while trying to fit into human society.

The comic will include several festive covers showing the trio decorating a tree, sharing cookies and enjoying the holiday. The special is scheduled for release on December 16 and is available for pre-order for $5.99.

Archie enters a dark 1690s world

In the upcoming horror comic Archie in Hell, Archie Andrews is sacrificed by an apocalyptic cult, but gets a chance to return to life through a strange alternate dimension.

In Issue #2, Archie finds himself in a dark version of 1690, where a strict Puritan community called Riverdale is filled with strange and dangerous events. Taking the name “Archibald”, he is hidden by the local Andrews family because his modern-day behaviour could put him in danger.

As strange echoes of Betty, Veronica and Jughead begin to appear, Archie fears that he may not be the only person connected to the cult’s plans.

Archie in Hell #2 is written by Patrick Horvath and illustrated by Tyler Crook. It is scheduled for release on December 16, 2026.

New ‘Sound of Music’ museum

A new museum dedicated to The Sound of Music has opened at Austria’s 17th-century Hellbrunn Palace, where several scenes from the 1965 film were shot.

The Sound of Music Salzburg museum features nearly 450 items, including costumes, props, posters and music recordings. A centrepiece is the gazebo featured in the film’s “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” scene. The museum also explores the real-life von Trapp family story that inspired the Broadway musical and Hollywood film. Elisabeth von Trapp, granddaughter of Georg and Agathe von Trapp, attended the opening.

The museum is open daily until November 1 and is scheduled to reopen next March.
