PakMMA Open Championship kicks off in Lahore

KARACHI: The PakMMA Open Championship kicked off at the Brave Gym Fight HQ in Packages Mall, Lahore, on Friday, with quarter-final bouts decided across multiple weight categories.

Nine bouts were held in various categories, featuring fighters from all across Pakistan who had been selected after trials.

In the strawweight category, Shayan Mahdi, Ibrahim Khan and Bilal emerged victorious. Lahore’s Shayan beat Abdullah of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Ibrahim downed Danish Munir. Bilal, meanwhile, cruised into the semi-finals with a win over Mohammad Bilal Abbas.

Three fights were decided in the flyweight category, with Suliman Khan defeating Ameer Hamza and Attaullah getting the better of Mohammad Junaid. Mohiz Satti overwhelmed Saad Afridi. The bantamweight category saw Siddiq Ullah and Asad triumph, while Gohar registered victory in the lightweight category.
