Jail official held for graft

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Dera Ghazi Khan jail deputy superintendent was arrested by the Anti Corruption Establishment on Thursday, after he was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe.

A regional ACE team caught Deputy Superintendent Nauman Ilyas and constable Allah Ditta red-handed while receiving Rs20,000 as a bribe from complainant Abdul Qadir. The raid was supervised by DG Khan Civil Judge Jawad Zafar.

The suspects received the bribe in exchange for showing leniency toward the complainant’s son, who was imprisoned in jail.
