ISLAMABAD: A total of 150 girls from across Pakistan have gathered at the Islamabad Sports Complex for an intensive training, screening and talent identification camp under the guidance of two senior Dutch coaches Richard Snijder and Robert Justus, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said on Thursday.

“The players are being trained, tested, observed and mentored through a comprehensive assessment process,” the PHF said in a press release, adding that a 360-degree evaluation of their skills, fitness, tactical understanding and overall potential was underway to select the best talent for Pakistan senior and junior women’s teams.

According to the PHF, the initiative aims to identify emerging talent, strengthen the national talent pool and build a sustainable future for women’s hockey in the country.
