Who hasn’t witnessed the rivalry between Coyote and Road Runner? Who hasn’t shouted “Beep Beep” while running through life, or grown up familiar with Looney Tunes? Almost everyone has. So, the 103-minute Coyote vs Acme is for all of us. It is hilarious, nostalgic and a real crowd-pleaser.

We’re used to seeing a hungry coyote armed with an arsenal of ingenious gadgets, endlessly chasing the ever-elusive Road Runner in true Looney Tunes fashion. But what happens when the tables turn and the coyote becomes the hero?

Inspired by the iconic rivalry, this film takes the chase beyond the desert and into the courtroom, proving that even the world’s unluckiest coyote deserves his day in court and even a chance to win!

After years of buying Acme products that cause him more trouble than they solve, Wile E. Coyote takes the company to court. His argument is simple: Acme’s gadgets are supposed to work, but keep backfiring in ridiculous ways! To build his case, he gets help from determined lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte). What follows is a wonderfully silly battle where cartoon logic meets the real world.

Along with Forte, we see wrestler-turned-actor John Cena as Acme Corporation’s lawyer and Lana Condor as Paige, Kevin’s niece, who stands by her uncle. We also get to “hear” Eric Bauza, the Canadian voice actor behind several iconic Looney Tunes characters. In the movie, he voices Bugs Bunny, Charlie Dog, Daffy Duck, Dr Peter Lorre, Foghorn Leghorn, Gossamer, Pepé Le Pew, Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and Tweety. The movie has a Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Space Jam feel, but brings Coyote’s legendary schemes to life. Rockets, giant springs, traps and bizarre gadgets all become part of the action. Directed by Dave Green and co-written and co-produced by James Gunn, the film captures what audiences have always loved about the character: Coyote may be endlessly unlucky, but he never gives up.

Wile E. Coyote has always been the ultimate underdog and this time, instead of chasing the Road Runner, he is pursuing justice and finally gets what he has always deserved: a chance to win.
